It&#8217;s another beautiful, sunny, and cold day at Pacific Crest! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We had another awesome week of learning. Our band and orchestra students prepared for their big shows in a couple weeks. Our 6th graders prepared for their environmental science trip to Skyliners next week. And everyone learned to play pickleball&#8230;because it&#8217;s Bend! You have to play pickleball!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Have a great weekend with your families, everyone. I challenge you to slow down, savor every moment, and hug your kids extra tight. They&#8217;re growing up fast!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sean<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parking at Businesses at Lolo &amp; Skyliner Ranch Rd. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We know the after-school rush is real, parking can be challenging, and we&#8217;re all in a hurry! But please don&#8217;t park in the business lot on Skyliner Ranch and Lolo. (These are the businesses like Ruffwear, Crow&#8217;s Feet, etc.) These businesses have limited spots, and we cannot park there if we&#8217;re not actually going into those stores. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks for understanding! Let&#8217;s be good neighbors, because Northwest Bend is awesome! We have to keep it awesome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A Message from PCCO President, Anne Westerhoff<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Friday, March 3 is a perfect day to treat our fabulous PCMS staff to some comfort food. A baked potato and soup bar seems to be the perfect thing during cold weather. Don\u2019t forget to follow us on social media: @pacificcrestco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Scoliosis Screening at PCMS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bend &#8211; La Pine Schools nursing team will be doing free scoliosis screenings on Thursday March 9<sup>th<\/sup> for 8<sup>th<\/sup> grade boys and girls and 6<sup>th<\/sup> grade girls at Pacific Crest Middle School. This quick and basic check will screen for abnormal curvatures of the spine. We&#8217;ve had a great start to our fundraising efforts for Sparrow Enzo. Through donations of refreshments, decor and music, our Valentine&#8217;s Day Dance was not only a fun event, but we raised $1,000. Keeping with the &#8220;heart theme&#8221;, our Val-o-Gram fundraiser was awesome. We raised $1,200. Proceeds from both of these events will go directly to Enzo at the end of the school year. We appreciate all of the volunteer support as well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the month of March, we have a &#8220;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1GsHDPGD1NAUZQICZNSzCbsYU2btlrQzRhqXdZg9NCpo\/edit?usp=sharing\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1GsHDPGD1NAUZQICZNSzCbsYU2btlrQzRhqXdZg9NCpo\/edit?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">Lucky Enzo Pot of Gold Coin Collection<\/a>&#8221; which is where each grade level fills a pot with coins to benefit our Sparrow. This is a super easy way to support Enzo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last but not least, in partnership with local business sponsors, students can support Sparrow Enzo by performing community service. Spend a few moments with your family&nbsp;watching the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UgVfXyC_LKc\">Step Into Compassion<\/a>&nbsp;video and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MF62HMOCIDw\">Enzo&#8217;s Life Story<\/a>. After your student completes community service hours and in order for local sponsors to financially support Enzo, students must submit their hour(s) using an&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeWBJkbNsQsCImCjx_6_8CjXGakx5zKbvSR8w9BuCSlyLlBTQ\/viewform\">online voucher form<\/a>.&nbsp;Our school <strong>goal is to reach 600 hours<\/strong>. That is only one hour per student.
