Principal’s Hello<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dear Golden Eagle Families, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for a wonderful year! We continued to see a lot of growth this year. Our schoolwide expectations for students became stronger. Our student and staff culture felt warm and mutually beneficial. And our teachers continued to collaboratively grow their practice, incorporating more rubrics, using iPads with more discretion, and preparing students more for state tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ended the year on a high note: Students had a ton of fun with a sunny field day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and shave ice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And of course they succeeded in dunking me in very cold water:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, we thanked our awesome kitchen staff for a great year. They pivoted this year to the district’s free-lunch-for-everyone policy, and did a superb job. Next year we’re going to be the first middle school to pilot a sustainable silverware program, replacing our plasticware in the cafeteria. Wish us luck!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
