BLP Return to School Guidance<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesday, Aug. 10, Bend-La Pine Schools’ Board of Directors provided conditional approval for the Continuation of In-Person Instruction Plan for 2021-22. The information can be found by visiting the district’s website<\/a>. We need to continue to be flexible, as things will inevitably change throughout the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bottom line is that we need to stay safe to stay open<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student Class Schedules Go Live!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student schedules will be accessible via ParentVue and StudentVue at 8:00am, Monday, August 30th<\/strong>. Please note that student schedules may are still being modified by the counseling department and are subject to change prior to September 8th, so please check them regularly between now and then. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While some changes will likely be made, we are not accepting schedule change requests; building a master schedule is an intricate task and hours upon hours of thought and work went into this schedule to make the classes as balanced as can be. Because of this, we cannot make changes to student schedules for any reason other than to balance class loads and to ensure proper placement. Thank you in advance for your understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parent Orientation Night<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In lieu of the traditional Ice Cream Social that is again cancelled, we invite all new parents to a virtual New Parent Orientation Night on Tuesday, August 31 from 5:30 – 6:30pm with our Anne-Marie Schmidt, our new Assistant Principal, and myself to hear all about PCMS – lockers, PE, bell schedules, and how to successfully maneuver the parking lot so it is efficient and convenient for all<\/strong><\/em> – and to answer questions related to the new year. This event will be done via WebEx. Please log in to my WebEx room<\/a> to attend. We look forward to seeing you on screen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curriculum Night<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another remote meeting that will help in sharing some of the learning objectives your student will have for the year, we invite you to join us for our Curriculum Night on Wednesday, September 22 from 6:30 – 7:30pm via WebEx<\/a>. More information will be shared via Advisory as the date gets nearer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Required iPad Forms<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At PCMS, we want to make sure that all of our students understand the expectations that are part of having and using a district-issued iPad. By Friday, September 10, 2021 all students\/families MUST complete the following 3 steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Become familiar with the Bend La Pine iPad Information Page<\/a>.<\/li>
  2. Review the Acceptable Use of Technology<\/strong> form in English<\/a> or Spanish<\/a>.<\/li>
  3. Review the iPad Insurance Program document<\/a>. Based on this review, log onto Touchbase<\/a> using your student’s ID # and last name to pay for the annual iPad insurance ($30). We highly recommend that you purchase this insurance. To replace<\/strong> an iPad that is not covered by insurance is $299 and to repair <\/strong>an iPad that is not covered by insurance is $150.<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
