It is called <em><strong>Realms 6 Point Grading &#8211; High School<\/strong><\/em>. Please take a few moments to update your grade book settings so all standards are using this scale! Go to Gradebook Settings drop down and then navigate to class settings<\/li>\n<li>I will be asking you all to turn alpha grades ON no later than THIS WEDNESDAY after school so we can look at gradebooks together!<\/li>\n<li>On Wednesday last week we determined that by SLC&#8217;s we should have <em><strong>at least<\/strong><\/em> 3 academic standard and 1 HOSS standard scored in our gradebooks, and that there should be no fewer than 3 assignments\/assessments in. I would strongly suggest you attempt get closer to 4-6 scored assignments\/assessments and that you include scores on 2 HOSS standards if possible!<\/li>\n<li>I am going to ask everyone to push out a midterm progress report next weekend &#8211; on Wednesday this week we can review how to do that for anyone who needs a refresher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CREW LESSONS &#8211; SUPPORTING STUDENT LED CONFERENCES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thanks to Karen and Michelle for their work on Friday and to the rest of you for holding down the fort while we did some Crew planning!<\/li>\n<li>We worked on providing direction for Crew for the coming weeks, and ONE of the things we accomplished is this <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1NJjVWY3TNNI34x9yEj_yq3FvAxIho4HFEiqHSaodU38\/edit#\"><strong>Crew Lesson Flow For SLC&#8217;s<\/strong><\/a> over the next few weeks (we also worked on how to &#8220;grade crew&#8221; but more on that soon).<\/li>\n<li>The first few lessons are reasonably fleshed out and we&#8217;ll work on the ones that come later before they arrive!<\/li>\n<li>PLEASE REVIEW this document &#8211; there are some directions in here for what to do in crew and when<\/li>\n<li>Our School to College\/Career push in schedule will impact this plan and be impacted by this plan&#8230; Jen and I will meet early this week to review the impacts! <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>MARK<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; you may need to do the Thursday\/Friday lesson on Monday\/Tuesday this week!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>INTENSIVES AND WREATH SALE KICK OFF THIS FRIDAY &#8211; SPECIAL SCHEDULE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On Wednesday this week during our planning meeting we&#8217;ll have some time to work on Intensives for the winter<\/li>\n<li>On Friday I would like introduce the IDEA of Intensives with a short intro assembly (10 min), a small group design activity in which students get a chance to do some version of Paul&#8217;s speed dating activity\u00a0(30 min) and then , and then re-group to kick off our wreath sale\u00a0 which is dedicated to raising the money we need for an awesome set of Intensives! (10 min)<\/li>\n<li>RW working on draft agenda for all this now &#8211; your role:\n<ul>\n<li>help participate in and facilitate the design activity (stay tuned)<\/li>\n<li>check out and be aware of revised <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1QfeNkWDjdjoXZb0pwvoVDNBqwue77dD_nzQOJ5KeWCs\/edit#gid=917230120\">&#8220;Friday Assembly Schedule&#8221;<\/a> &#8211; this impacts everyone, but especially Mark S and Karen A<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>CHALLENGE DAY THIS WINTER?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We have the opportunity to do Challenge Day some time this winter IF you all feel like it is something you are supportive of! Shay&#8217;s Advisory Team of students has secured funding for it, and I have said that we are POTENTIALLY interested. We will check in about this soon, in the meantime, if you don&#8217;t know here is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.challengeday.org\/\">link to more information<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>My experience with this has been super positive, but it IS a full day out of classes and it DOES bring up challenging social\/emotional issues for students and we would need to put a strong plan in place to support kids in the week(s) afterwards.<\/li>\n<li>I would want this to be a team decision&#8230; stay tuned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hey Team, Thanks for the awesome job you all did on helping plan and lead fieldwork this past week!!
