RMS First Week Outline<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n RHS First Day Outline<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n ALSO<\/strong> Some Friday Weirdness…<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The building doors will remain locked until 8:20 a.m. You will need to use your key or keyless entry card to enter the building in the mornings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Doors should never be left unlocked and unattended! At 9:00AM, all campus doors are locked and remain locked for the day. Doors should never be left unlocked or propped open unless attended by a staff member (line of sight).<\/p>\n\n\n\n All BLSD employee are required to wear their ID badge & have their keys on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In general, staff are supposed to remain on campus for their prep period. However, if you need to leave campus to run an errand, please just let the office know (an email, call, or drop by) so we can account for you in the case of an emergency. Thanks! Please remember to save just a couple minutes to share these slides each period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here is the updated school wide Late Work Policy.<\/a> It is not TOO different from what we shared last week, but does include a little more clarity and teacher guidance\/flexibility. Thank you for your input!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some of you use Edpuzzle with lots of success… it can be engaging and a platform for rigorous content exploration and assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here is the information on our schoolwide account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n This year there is 1 required lessons and 4 other “recommended” lessons. The required lesson must be taught by October 27th, but I suggest we find a week during which we can all agree to launch, so stay tuned.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The three recommended lessons in the series are Wayfinder activities that our equity coaches have carefully selected and sequenced, to facilitate classroom climates conducive to dialogue around identity and bias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We know Crew gets “jammed up” with a lot of stuff, and we have heard that as a concern from teachers. SO…. the three additional lessons MAY be incorporated as you see fit, AND at the same time, there are probably some of our EL Education pilot lessons that get at the same outcomes. So, you choose<\/strong> as a grade level team!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Actual BLSD bias lesson link coming soon… they will push it out when it’s ready!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our agreement with EL includes teaching the majority of these lessons..<\/p>\n\n\n\n preparing to teach the EL Crew lessons<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Just a heads up that the 2nd month of Crew lessons are now available for you to check out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Laurie and Phoebe<\/strong> – the District is asking us to give the EasyCBM assessment near the start of the year. On the upside, this is a pretty good way to get a benchmark on where kids are at – it can also be used for math<\/em><\/strong>. Results can be shared with the staff team to inform a better understanding of current levels!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anita and Lauren<\/strong>, it is not a crazy idea to use the 8th grade spring benchmark in EasyCBM as a quick diagnostic for 9th grade as well!! If you are an educator in the Bend-La Pine district (classroom teacher, media center manager, specials teacher, counselor, psychologist, specialist) you can apply for a grant.
