THANKS to all of you for the many different roles you played throughout the week&#8230; from the Tumalo Mountain fieldwork outing (our 1st &#8220;summit&#8221;), to National Principal&#8217;s Day (who knew there was such a thing!?) to keeping things smooth on campus even when I was pulled away a bunch and Michelle was out taking care of family! And of course&#8230; BETTER WORLD DAY! <strong>You are a great team to work with!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There were a lot of highlights on Friday&#8230; our students did a great job and you all helped coordinate some awesome projects!! I hate to highlight just one, but I feel compelled to share this one because every time I watch it I grin and chuckle&#8230; plus Zach confirmed on Friday afternoon that I could be his agent, so I gotta start promoting! <strong>Check it out &#8211;  <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/334346408\"><strong>https:\/\/vimeo.com\/334346408<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Teacher Appreciation Week!! You all are awesome!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Monday<\/strong> &#8211; Mid morning coffee break at 9:30am in the common area! Ocean Rolls and Fancy Coffees.<\/li><li><strong>Wednesday<\/strong> &#8211; After school snacks to fuel the &#8220;March for Students&#8221;!<\/li><li><strong>Friday<\/strong> &#8211; After school&#8230; <em><strong>Realms MS and HS get together<\/strong><\/em> for any and all that can make it. Venue TBD (possibly upstairs at 10 Barrel&#8230; Roger and Dirk are buying the app&#8217;s and 1st rounds!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Please Put BWD Pics and Videos Into Shared Album<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hey all &#8211; I am hoping to put together a little video or slide show with some highlights and stduent quotes. Please put your BWD pics in as soon as possible. Here is the link to the shared album: <a href=\"https:\/\/photos.app.goo.gl\/uhaah9TujvzxJiTg7\">https:\/\/photos.app.goo.gl\/uhaah9TujvzxJiTg7<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Boundless Farm Fieldwork &#8211; Wednesday<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9:00am &#8211; 12:00pm Wednesday.<\/strong> After speaking with Paul and  Michelle it makes sense to send these two on this trip &#8211;  MH is excited about working a Grapes of Wrath tie in! So, we have put in for 1 sub to cover PT&#8217;s 2 social science classes and hen I am hoping that between RW, KLL, and GD we can cover Michelle&#8217;s two 9th gr Lit classes. <strong>Stay tuned for final details!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>March For Students!<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>This is important!! <\/em><\/strong>You are not required to attend, obviously, however I do want to make sure you all have the time and space to attend and\/or get ready beforehand. We DO have some topics that we <em><strong>could<\/strong><\/em> meet about prior  to the march (say 1:00 &#8211; 1:45) but <strong><em>ONLY<\/em><\/strong> if you all want to. If you prefer to get March-ready (make signs etc.) between 12:40 and the march that is great too. Two topics I want to share\/discuss with you are below. I will check with each of you on Tuesday and we can decide to NOT meet or meet, at your request! These topics could get pushed to Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Upcoming SIW Priorities &amp; Topics:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><em>Urgent<\/em><\/strong>: Some of my office hrs students would like to try and earn an <strong>honors credit in one of their classes this term<\/strong>. I told them I would talk to you all about the possibility of an &#8220;honors project&#8221; they could complete between now and end of year<\/li><li><strong><em>Less Urgent: <\/em>How are we doing for scheduled May 30th Presentation of Learning?<\/strong> Is it still realistic? Stick with the date or postpone until the following Tuesday (right before Intensives) OR even the Thursday evening AFTER Intensives before the last day of the year?<\/li><li><strong><em>Less Urgent: <\/em>Intensives planning!<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Crew Stuff&#8230; <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No Community Meeting This Friday. Rescheduled for 5\/20\/19 I believe!?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, please remember the CYRM survey this week in Crew. There is an email titled: <em><strong>QR codes for Culture of Care Survey<\/strong><\/em> from 4\/30\/19 with your details!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Keeping Things &#8220;Tight&#8221; (and joyful) As We Hit Spring:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are just a few reminders that are important as we head into Spring and students start to stretch their wings a little more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Take <strong>attendance<\/strong> every class!<\/li><li>During class at least, please don&#8217;t send two buddies to the <strong>bathroom<\/strong> together, just 1 at a time (I know we can&#8217;t control this between classes, but we can at least control it during classes)<\/li><li>Take attendance at the start of Pump &amp; Stretch please (Jaden and a few others look to sneak into the wrong P&amp;S) and at the start of Office Hrs. If you are missing someone from Office Hrs please let Jennifer or Roger know<\/li><li><strong>Earbuds and phones:<\/strong> they are allowed ONLY by direct permission and NEVER by default. Please use them SPARINGLY. If a student has earbuds or phone out without direct permission please ask them to trun it over to you for pick up at end of the day!  <\/li><li>Oh, and don&#8217;t forget to <strong><em>have some fun with kids&#8230;.<\/em><\/strong> build a little JOY and CELEBRATION into your classroom&#8230; relationships go a LONG way at this time of year!
