Thanks!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>FRIDAY CDL DAY PLAN<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Late last week I received TWO conflicting messages from District leadership about what we are &#8220;supposed to do&#8221; this Friday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>High schools are to run the &#8220;Wednesday Schedule&#8221;<\/li><li>High schools should run their B Day Cohort schedule (which I think implies WebEx classes instead of on site classes, though that was not specified!!)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>I will meet with Zach &amp; Michelle to get a plan pulled together ASAP so we can notify students with what to expect! I like Anita&#8217;s &#8220;Proficiency Day&#8221; idea though we would need to specify exactly what the expectations are for some\/all students in order to bring such a plan to life!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>STUDENTS OF CONCERN MEETING REVAMP<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have heard from a few of you that you are interested in and motivated to &#8220;re-think&#8221; our Students of Concern processes in response to feeling like what we have in place right now might not be the best we can do!<strong><em> I AGREE!! <\/em><\/strong>I am not thrilled with our SOC meeting structure and in our &#8220;systems&#8221; for intervening. So far Michelle, Karla and Kat have all spoken to me, and Anita has shared some feedback as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I would LOVE to empower some of you to help RE-THINK and improve our SOC meeting structure and intervention systems ASAP! Lets plan on getting together this Wednesday afternoon?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MICHELLE&#8217;S ROLE AS INSTRUCTIONAL GUIDE AND &#8220;DEAN&#8221; WHEN RW IS GONE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Michelle and I will be conducting some classroom visits between now and Spring Break to try and support ALL of us in our Hybrid Teaching practice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Michelle&#8217;s role is 100% non-evaluative is&#8230; and mine is 98% coaching and 2% evaluation!<\/li><li>MH invites ANYONE who would like to do a classroom visit to HER room during period 3 &amp; 5 ANY TIME!!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I will likely be at the MS every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00-10:00. Michelle will be on campus and in\/around my office at those times. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CREW LESSON PLANNING REGIME<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thanks to Anita for this first chunk of return to school Crew lessons! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MH, KT\/SH and JR are going to take the lead on planning lessons from here as there are really only TWO per week to plan and we are feeling like fewer cooks builds more coherence and FREES CREW TEACHERS UP for more time on their classes, on &#8220;case managing kids in your Crew&#8221; etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2ND TRIMESTER INTENSIVES PLAN &#8211; <em>READ THIS!!<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Trimester 2 you should <strong><em>plan to HAVE CLASS<\/em><\/strong> right until the end of the trimester! Here is <strong><em>&#8220;the plan&#8221; <\/em><\/strong>we are working on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>we will NOT have regular Intensives this trimester&#8230; there have been too many moving parts lately and too little instructional time for most students!<\/li><li>we are RESEARCHING the possibility of offering a couple of &#8220;Intensive Option Classes&#8221; for the students in our population who have demonstrated SOLID and consistent academic success this trimester (cut point might be something like 2 or more A&#8217;s and 0 C&#8217;s or lower)<\/li><li>this group of students, no more than 15-20% of student body, could sign up for one of the classes being offered by outside contracted staff (including possibly COCC Continuing Ed) while ALL teachers continue to hold classes for 85% of students who need more instructional support to demonstrate proficiency and complete final projects etc.<\/li><li>If, AFTER further research, we determine that it is not feasible to offer these Intensive extras, then ALL students will have a regular last week of classes\/finals during the last week of the trimester.<\/li><li><strong><em>STAY TUNED FOR MORE DETAILS!<\/em><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>KEY POINTS FROM NEW UNION MOU<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Good info about new sick and personal day guidelines and, about limits to Wednesday instruction (more applicable to the big schools than to us) AND info about limits to <em>&#8220;Principal Directed SIW time&#8221;.<\/em> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1EpnvCQeu-mP2j0ertgCkFlKCZspyEVgb\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">LINK TO &#8220;SUMMARY&#8221; HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>The ICCL Team is reviewing our SIW and other staff meeting calendar and plan based on this new MOU and we&#8217;ll have schedules to you shortly. The other are directions of&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1i08sy7n4p8CxFYNUN65r41n-PJ0sUs3q\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\">how to put on and take off a disposable respirator mask<\/a>&nbsp;(KN95).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CHECK IN CHECK OUT FORM IS IMPORTANT FOR CONTACT TRACING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Daily check in form &#8211; MORE IMPORTANT than we realize for determining &#8220;close contact&#8221;. Use it daily.
