Re-Entry Recap\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Thanks everyone for making Tuesday\u2019s meeting either in person or virtually. I know the virtual option was not ideal. In the future I will explore a better way of doing things. I know there are a thousand questions about bringing kids back in the building and Paul and I will do our best to get information to you. He and I will be reviewing your notes and questions from Tuesday and use that information to help plan topics for future meetings. If you couldn\u2019t make the meeting give me a call and I can get you up to speed on what we discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During our meeting some of you started adding classroom information to the spreadsheet along with calculations for under and over. That was a fabulous idea so I took the time to add those columns to every school tab in the square footage spreadsheet. My request is that everyone start filling in this information. I included calculations and conditional formatting so we can easily see the scope of the problem once the information is inserted. I plan on sharing this with Brad and Lora so they can see this info also. If we can\u2019t figure that out there\u2019s no use talking about tables and lunch schedules. Reach out to us with some dates and times and we will make it happen. Getting a different set of eyes on a problem can be helpful. I also have the laser measuring tool so if we need to re-measure some rooms we can do that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ICCL involvement?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Is it ok to involve your ICCL team or other leadership team in solving the space problem? Absolutely. Presenting the problem to a group of teacher leaders might lead to some very innovative solutions. However, I would hold off on bringing a group together until you feel comfortable with the rules and guidelines that must be followed. It will be important to clearly communicate what is \u201ctight\u201d and what is \u201cloose\u201d and that final decisions are ultimately yours to make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bend-La Pine Online<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We are receiving daily requests and inquiries regarding Bend-La Pine Online. I am hoping that by the first week of August I\u2019ll be able to share with you some preliminary numbers of families that are opting to go online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Standards of Practice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I think it would be helpful if we were proactive and came up with some distance learning standards of practice just in case we have to vacate buildings again. Don\u2019t get me wrong, we did a great job pivoting to distance learning. However, enough variations existed from class to class and school to school that I think we should probably tighten things up and better define expectations and best practices.
