This last round of visits focused quite a bit on Lexia and Dreambox usage. As I said in our meeting, we were not completely in control during CDL with what students did or did not complete while at home. I am positive teachers had Lexia and Dreambox on student schedules and regularly reminded them to log in. But because they weren’t there looking over their shoulder this didn’t always happen. But that situation has changed with our return to in-person instruction. Now is the time to make sure that Lexia and Dreambox are being used and are part of classroom schedules and routines. Once we’ve established routines and our usage is on track, the next step would be to dive into the dashboards to examine usage, track progress, and make adjustments to instruction – especially for our traditionally underserved students. The latest TLC Happenings includes useful information on Lexia and Dreambox that you and your teachers will find useful.
