Finally, we are relying on you to help out these departments as much as possible by approaching this transition to UKG with a positive attitude and a growth mindset. Everything is going to be just fine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Updates, Reminders, and Department Info\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Language Arts Curricular Materials Viewing and Feedback Opportunities:<\/strong>&nbsp; The team met on Wednesday, March 8th and came to consensus to dive deeper into three curriculums:&nbsp; Expeditionary Learning, American Reading Company and Collaborative Classroom.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1sLFYKKSR9sv3EnT26LgxdLwcBGkF9E1kHIWue6hTH2Y\/edit?usp=sharing\">Here is the schedule for viewing the materials and links to give feedback.&nbsp; <\/a>&nbsp;Please share this document with your staff.&nbsp; Reach out with any questions.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Staffing Plans <\/strong>&#8211; April is working on the staffing plan template for each school.&nbsp; As soon as they are completed Tammy and I will review them and send them out. We are hoping that will happen in the next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Central Oregon Job Fair<\/strong> &#8211; Mark your calendars, March 23 is the Central Oregon Educator job fair.&nbsp; This year\u2019s event will take place at Eagle Crest resort.&nbsp; It is expected that all building administrators participate.&nbsp; Look for information and details from Ryan Kelling in the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>UKG Update from Paul <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>First Digital Submissions of Time\/Leave\u00a0<\/strong> &#8211; Please remember that\u00a0all BLS employees\u00a0regardless of whether or not someone has had any time off or has had supplemental or secondary hours\/jobs within the 2\/13 &#8211; 3\/12 pay period\u00a0<strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">must<\/span><\/strong> digitally submit their timesheet though UKG.\u00a0 Instructions on how to log and submit timesheets can be found (1) in UKG, under the Self-Service tab or (2) within the Staff Portal on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bendlapine.sharepoint.com\/SitePages\/UKG.aspx?CT=1663686232176&amp;OR=OWA-NT&amp;CID=914e28b4-8b7a-ccf5-d39e-ec18bda6e84d\"><strong>UKG Product Suite<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0page.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Timesheet submission and approval timeline:<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All employees will have until 11:00pm Sunday night (March 12) to submit their timesheets. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Office Managers\/timekeepers will then have until 11:00 pm on Monday (March 13) to finish review &amp; corrections then submit timesheets to supervisors. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supervisors will have until 11:00 pm Tuesday (March 14) to do final approval\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Payroll will be extracting data on Wednesday for processing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><strong>Frontline Absence Management\/Aesop Users &#8211; <\/strong>We\u2019ve encountered some difficulties in transferring absence data from Frontline to UKG.\u00a0 For this reason, your UKG timesheet may not accurately reflect your time-off during this current pay period (2\/13 &#8211; 3\/12). We will not be attempting to transfer data from Frontline to UKG until further notice as we troubleshoot this problem. You can track our progress by viewing the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bendlapine.sharepoint.com\/SitePages\/UKG.aspx?CT=1663686232176&amp;OR=OWA-NT&amp;CID=914e28b4-8b7a-ccf5-d39e-ec18bda6e84d\">UKG Implementation Page<\/a>\u00a0within the staff portal.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you review your UKG timesheet in preparation for submitting it (on 3\/13), you\u2019ll need to seek assistance from your timekeeper\/office manager to correct your timesheet for missing or incorrect\u00a0time-off\u00a0entries.\u00a0 You can do this by emailing your timekeeper\/office manager with the list of time-off details (dates\/times\/absence reasons) that need to be corrected as only they have UKG permissions to make these changes (you do not). That day is currently being planned by a group of kinder teachers, admins, and parents, and is being paid for by Title 1 funds, but will be for everyone to participate.&nbsp; More to come about that (but think about 9 bus stops around Bend, where families can stop by and register, learn about our district, get some cool \u201cClass of 2036\u201d swag, and get information on how to attend&nbsp; your building orientations!)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second part is up to you!\u00a0 It is your building kindergarten orientation that you have each spring.\u00a0 In order to provide similar experiences for families and for staff to be fairly compensated in the same way their peers are throughout our district, we have created<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Z6EdIXjOixm1NA8MokpIDeRQkoOyylhzAgBqsZi-Xqk\/edit?usp=sharing\"> this one-page document with the parameters<\/a><\/strong> for your event.\u00a0 It is currently in draft form and we welcome your feedback through March 17, at which time it will be finalized. (comments are turned on) Please read the document carefully, to learn about the specifics you need to plan for.\u00a0 We know some of you are already starting to talk about your orientation event, so please use this guide.\u00a0 Bring on our new little friends!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Updated Field Trip\/Activity Request Form<\/strong> &#8211; the updated form has been posted to the portal (form date 3\/2023). Please have staff members begin using this form <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">immediately<\/span>. As a reminder, nursing staff must be provided notice about the trip, in writing, at least 2 weeks prior. There is an area on the updated form for the requestor to provide the nurse\u2019s name and notification date and time.
