National Recycling Day is a great way to celebrate diversion rate and to educate others about recycling. In America our recycling rate hovers around 35%, in Deschutes County, we currently divert 33% of our waste stream. Recently, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality revised the County\u2019s goal to 45% by 2025. We can all learn more and do more to reduce our waste, increase our recycling and ensure that we are recycling right and avoiding \u201cwishful recycling\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Participate in the GooseChase National Recycling Day Challenge<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Read the Week article about the Pros and Cons of Recycling<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n
