Positive Behavior Support Plan Live in Synergy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Learning specialist, starting 11\/27\/23 the Positive Behavior Support Plan will be live in Synergy. The PBSP will be located in each process and replace the Behavior Intervention Plan. Each time an IEP team meets and agrees upon a PBSP the team will need to put that information into the Synergy form (just like you would with the current BIP). If you have questions please connect with your Learning Specialist Coaches and\/or Student Success Coaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

RCC Reviews and Meeting Requests:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 As of 11\/9\/2023, RCC is prioritizing reviews and meeting requests required to be finalized for the December Child Count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will be reviewing the  Initial evaluation, In-State paperwork, IEPs, Eligibilities, Revocations, and Enrollment Drops first<\/em><\/strong> and then will continue with other document reviews that are not connected to Child count after 12\/1\/23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, we will be only working on meeting requests through 12\/8\/23 until after the count.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DECEMBER 1 CHILD COUNT:<\/em><\/strong>  <\/em><\/strong>December 1st is the deadline for submission of the SECC (Special Education Child Count) to the Oregon Department of Education. It’s crucial to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data for federal reporting, fiscal, and statistical purposes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Requirements for the Student Count:<\/em><\/strong> To be reported on the SECC, a student must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Active enrollment<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Current eligibility for special education services<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Current Individualized Education Program (IEP)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Every year, we want to include as many students as possible so we can reach the 11% mark. For the past several years, we have been hovering around 10%. Last year we reported 1837 students, approximately 10.5% of BLP students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
