Early Childhood Special Education<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please review THIS GUIDANCE<\/strong><\/a> with your team as you make a plan for your site. It is critical to meet as a team and discuss!<\/p>\n\n\n\n


<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have worked closely with our early childhood team at High Desert ESD to make some BIG<\/em> changes for our students transitioning to kindergarten in the fall. We intend to send the updated guidance very soon along with student lists.  If you are new to BLP we will share an early childhood Canvas course in preparation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few significant changes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. BLP is no longer facilitating the reevaluation process for current ECSE students, these will be completed by ECSE through 9\/30 for any TK student. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Observations can start after February 20 <\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Transition meetings can be scheduled starting April 1<\/em> through the end of the school year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The ECSE team will complete evaluations for new TK student referrals between May 1 and the first day of school, and provide them to BLP. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
