QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“I appreciated the ‘bite sized’ PD that revisited AVID and the notebook strategies.  It was nice to have it in a small chunk with the rest of the SIW time available for me to make adjustments to my lessons and then implement these changes the very next day for the benefit for our students” ~ current HDMS staff member

TO DOs

  • Look at the HDMS calendar for any updates or events happening in the upcoming week.
  • Fall conferences are approaching. If staff at HDMS are interested in adjusting when we conference to gain a Friday off, we need to vote on this adjustment. Please click here to take the survey to have your voice heard.
  • Click here to learn about the 4 school improvement teams.  Please click here to select your top 2 choices.  It is my hope/expectation that all staff will join a team. These teams will meet throughout the year during SIW time to gather wisdom from all staff about how we will work to continue to improve and move our school forward in these areas.

ADVISORY

  • The topic for 10/9 is SEL Lesson #1.
  • The grade level slide show and student materials have been posted to the Staff Google Classroom.
  • The grade level student materials are scheduled to be posted to the HDMS Student Google Classroom in the morning on 10/9.
  • Only 400ish students have joined the HDMS Student Google Classroom.  Please ensure that all of your advisory students have joined using this code: rzp8ox

Behavioral Resolution Reports

We had not been posting weekly Behavioral Resolution Reports like last year because we weren’t sure if people were reading them. But, since we have received some inquiries, we will be adding them to the Behavioral Resolution tab at the top of the blog. Click here for the first report which captures all entries since the beginning of the year. Warning: It is long and you’ll have to zoom in to read the details.
