If you believe a kid is challenging because of lagging skills and unsolved problems, then rewarding and punishing may not be the ideal approach. Staff that usually find this 8-hour  training useful are those that do not have a lot of experience with mental health, i.e. any teachers, classified employees, coaches, administrators, school nurses, family advocates, etc. The training is  free to district employees.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/bend-la-pine-schools-youth-mental-health-first-aid-training-tickets-70084501631\">Here is the registration info<\/a>. <\/li><li>ASPIRE:  LA and Math teachers please make sure you are aware of the ASPIRE window (<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/18HaqKnJe1PJfmTdHv9TnQeDSX4lDrlEb\/view\">click here to see the district calendar<\/a>) and plan time for this assessment in your classes this fall and winter (spring is optional).
