Arrival Time Reminder
We have had many excited students and families arriving early, which is wonderful! Just a reminder: Our doors open at 8:35am (8:20am for breakfast) unless your child rides the bus or is signed up for Extended Care. We staff our programs based on the number of sign-ups. It is essential that our attendance counts are accurate for the safety of students and sustainability for the program.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Village Council meeting in the garden! Your participation is vital in making our community stronger. There’s another chance to join us next Wednesday morning at 8:15am. We look forward to seeing more of you there.
Elder Camping at Cultus Lake 9/11-9/13
Our Elders will be going on their annual camping trip the second week of school! We will be headed to Cultus Lake Weds, 9/11 to Fri, 9/13. Students should arrive to school at 8:15am on Wednesday morning so that we are ready to leave NO LATER than 9:00am. Our busses have to be back for their routes and cannot wait for late students.
Permission slips and an informational letter will come home the first week of school. The cost is $50 per student. Payment is due Tuesday, 9/10. Payments can be made in the office with cash, check or card, or you can pay on the Friends of Westside Village website.

District wide, cell phone usage is limited this year. Please read our policy here. Thanks for your support in helping us create the best possible learning environment.
Early Pick Up Policy
The end of the school day at Westside Village is an important time for fitness and community. Therefore, we ask that students not be picked up after fitness begins (between 2:45 and 3:35) unless it is an emergency. If your student leaves early for a regular sports practice or activity, please arrange to pick them up at or before 2:45. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Please sign up for Extended Care, Clubs, and Sports if you are interested and haven’t already. Visit www.friendsofwestside.com. If you need a scholarship, please fill out an application and get your paperwork to the front office asap. Once you are approved you will receive a code that is valid for the whole year.
