Youth Truth Survey
We will be asking your child to participate in the YouthTruth Student Survey in January. The YouthTruth Student Survey is a nationally recognized survey used in hundreds of schools and districts across the country, surveying hundreds of thousands of students. The confidential survey asks students about their experiences in the school and with their teachers, including how engaged they are at school, the rigor of their coursework, and their preparedness for the future. Our school, other schools, and researchers may use such information for developing plans to help schools and teachers improve. For information about this survey, please visit https://youthtruth.org, or speak to a school administrator.
Although we want to hear from all students, participation in this survey is voluntary. Please be aware that under federal law, you have the right to review a copy of the questions asked of your child. If you would like to do so, you can view a copy of the survey at school. You can opt your student out by filling out this form.
Choice Options Lottery Opens 1/2
The Choice Options Lottery opens on January 2nd. Visit this link for more information. If you know of any families that would be a good fit, send them our way! We will be hosting tours and info nights in January and March. Dates and times will be posted here as well as on our school website.
Remember that all incoming siblings of Westside students MUST complete an application. Current Westside Village students do not need to re-apply. Entry into the Choice Options lottery, Dual Immersion lottery, and Priority Area Change Requests all require a current enrollment in a Bend-La Pine School for the school year requested. Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year opens on January 2.
Don’t hesitate to call Marcie with any questions. 541-355-2001

The Giving Campaign
This season of joy and generosity is the perfect time to celebrate the remarkable students of Westside Village Magnet School! Their innovation, pride, growth, and perseverance have been made possible thanks to the unwavering support of Friends of Westside Village.
Now, we need your help to sustain and expand the innovative educational programs that make Westside Village extraordinary.
Your support directly impacts our students by:
- Ensuring access to healthy snacks
- Connecting students with fine artists and scientists from our community
- Providing professional development for our staff
- Strengthening our fitness programs
- Enriching our media center and library
- Providing scholarships for students to participate in clubs, adventures, etc.
The opportunities to uplift our children’s educational journey are endless.
Friends of Westside Village has been a grassroots organization since 2001 and was formally incorporated in 2008. With your support, we can continue their vital work and double down on Westside Village’s mission:
“To develop the optimal educational program where all learners can advance to their infinite potential in an environment free of barriers, prejudice, or limitations.”
Friends of Westside Village has provided over $8,000 in scholarships already this school year!
Your generosity will empower the students of Westside Village to thrive—today and for years to come.
Thank you for being an essential part of our community. Your support makes all the difference, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to our children’s future.
Our suggestion is $50 per student, but any amount is appreciated. Click here to show your support. Thank you!
