Winter Conferences, Jan 30 – Feb 7
It’s time to sign up for Winter Conferences! Conferences will be Jan 30th – Feb 7th. We have availability before, during and after school. Teachers sent an email with a sign-up link, or find them here (elders, please use link in the email you received):

These are student-led conferences, so students should attend. Please remember to bring your ID to sign in if you are scheduled for a time during the school day.

Dear Families,
Thank you for being such an important part of our Westside Village Magnet School community! We appreciate your support and dedication to our school. We are currently recruiting new families to join our community and need your help.
We would love for you to share your love for our school on social media. Whether it’s sharing our posts, leaving a review on Google or Greatschools.org, talking about what brought you to Westside, highlighting our wonderful field trips, celebrating our time outdoors, or discussing our restorative practices, your voice matters and can inspire others.
Additionally, we have some logistics that really benefit our families. Our affordable aftercare program is available to all students, including drop-in care for added flexibility. The school day begins at 8:35 AM, which aligns well with many family schedules. We also provide a morning snack free of charge, along with universal breakfast and lunch.
Your engagement helps strengthen our community and showcases the special experiences our community offers.

Choice Options Lottery is Open
Visit this link for more information. If you know of any families that would be a good fit, send them our way! We will have one more info night. Info Night: March 6th (Tour at 5:15, Info Session at 5:30).
Remember that all incoming siblings of Westside students MUST complete an application. Current Westside Village students do not need to re-apply.
The lottery for 1st-12th grade has closed, but applications are still being accepted. The lottery for Kindergarten will close on March 21st.
Entry into the Choice Options lottery, Dual Immersion lottery, and Priority Area Change Requests all require a current enrollment in a Bend-La Pine School for the school year requested. Enrollment for the 2025-2026 is open.

2024-25 Oregon Statewide Tests (OSAS)
This school year our 3rd through 8th grade students will take the Oregon Statewide Tests. Parents have the right to opt their child out of the English Language Arts and/or the Math tests. We have made it a mission to be creative and smart about how we administer the OR Statewide Tests. We are not going to make students sit for hours at a time testing; we are going to offer them fun snacks, breaks when needed, and all the support we can give. We would like to take this opportunity to turn this challenge into a fun and meaningful experience.

Friends of Westside Village (a non-profit 501c3) is looking for community connections! Our goal is to sell a small number of banners to be displayed on the school fence as well as in the great room, as a part of our fundraising campaign. The cost is $500 for a banner and will be up for one year. Yes, it is tax deductible!
