One of our wonderful Westside traditions is fantastic water days on the last two days of school. We will have lots of games and activities outside on the playground. Please send your student in something that is ok to get wet and an extra set of dry clothes. We do have some sunscreen and can help, but please apply sunscreen before school as well!

8th Grade Trip to Kah-Nee-Ta, June 11

We will visit the community of Warm Springs for our 8th grade trip this year. This day trip is a long standing tradition to celebrate their hard work and community friendships. The museum will be our first stop for a brief morning visit to learn about the indigenous cultures of the past. Next, we’ll visit Kahneeta Resort for a picnic lunch and afternoon fun at the water park. Kahneeta also offers mini-golf and other dry land games. On our way home we will stop for an early dinner at the food carts in Madras and return to school by 7:00pm. We will provide some snacks for the day and a sack lunch for students that request one.

Permission slips came home today or find it here. The cost of this trip is $10 plus $20 cash for dinner. Please use this link for the $10 payment (or pay with cash, check or card in the office) and send the $20 cash for dinner with your student.

Our Wonderful Kelly D is Retiring!

Kelly D has served as our amazing nutritional service queen and in Bend LaPine for 25 years! We appreciate all of her hard working years with all children, especially Westside kids, where she has catered to meet the kids where they are. She also spear-headed our Baking Club and has always chipped in to make our community a special place. We’d love our families to create cards or notes of appreciation and drop it off in our office.

We Are Edging up Towards Summer!

We’d love some volunteers to help us out! If you have an opportunity to help let us know!

  • Help us out with our pancake breakfast and quest for 5th graders moving up to middle school. We also invited all new incoming Elder students! June 11th 7:30-9:00 am
