What better way to send out the school year than with a raffle??  We have two, actually, and they are fantastic!  Purchase your raffle tickets in the office with cash, check or card.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raffle tickets are $5 each and will be on sale in the office starting Monday, June 10th and will also be on sale at the celebration on June 13th!  The winners will be announced at the celebration (you do not have to be present to win).  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

June Before\/After Care<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Oops, we’re late! So sorry for the delay in getting this out; it’s been a busy few weeks! Register for June Before and After care at www.friendsofwestside.com<\/a>. Last 6 Week Celebration & Restorative History Fair (Rewilding, Ingenuity, Survivance & Hope), June 13th<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Come be the audience for the students\u2019 research and projects!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students will share what they\u2019ve learned about problems created by past decisions and actions in history and they\u2019ll share their ideas for solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As always, you\u2019ll have an opportunity to connect with your student\u2019s teachers and other families, enjoy a meal and some performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8th Grade Trip to Portland, Friday June 14th<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

8th grade families- on Friday, June 14th, we will visit Portland for our final 8th grade celebration.  Students need to be at school by 7:15am to jump on the bus.  We plan on returning to school by 9:30pm for you to pick up your students.  We will have an urban experience, visiting the zoo and OMSI.  We’ll also use the MAX line to travel in the city.  Students need to bring a water bottle and a sack lunch or a school sack lunch that we provide (no microwaveable food, please).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, we will stop at the Salem food carts for dinner on our way home.  Have your student bring $15-$20 to buy themselves dinner.  The school will cover the cost of the bus, zoo, and OMSI.  Permission slips are coming home today, or find it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Days of School Schedule & Water Fun<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The last two days of school (June 17 & 18th) will be Water Fun days at Westside.  Please send your student with a change of clothes, swimsuit, towel, water shoes, and water bottle.  Please apply sunscreen at home before coming to school (we will have sunscreen available for reapplication).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monday, June 17th is a Full School Day and Tuesday, June 18th is Early Release @ 2:05pm<\/strong>. After care will be available for those enrolled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lost & Found<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Please come check the Lost and Found!  We will have it out front all week so that you can reconnect with your missing items.  Any items not claimed by June 18th at 4:00pm will be donated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

End of Year Medication Pick Up<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Please see letter from Nurse Susan here<\/a>. All medications must be picked up by a parent by the last day of school, Tuesday, June 18th. Any medications not picked up will be discarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth Choir of Central Oregon (YCCO)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
