Elder Camping at East Lake, <\/strong>9\/16-9\/18 <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our Elders will be going on their annual camping trip the second week of school! We will be headed to East Lake Tues, 9\/16 to Thurs, 9\/18. Students should arrive to school at 8:15am on Tuesday morning so that we are ready to leave NO LATER than 9:00am. Our busses have to be back for their routes and cannot wait for late students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Permission slips and an informational letter went home last week.  The cost is $55 per student.  Payment is due Friday, 9\/12.  Payments can be made in the office with card, cash or check or at friendsofwestside.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medications need to be dropped off in the office no later than Monday, 9\/15.  We can\u2019t accept medications the morning of the trip.  Students are not allowed to carry any medications on their person unless they have a current Self Carry plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goal Setting Conferences, 9\/17-9\/26<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Westside Village starts off the school year with Goal Setting Conferences.  These are student-parent-teacher conferences.  Call the office to schedule if you haven\u2019t already, or click here<\/a> to find your student’s community sign-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hearing Screenings <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The school district conducts routine screenings to ensure the health of all Bend La Pine students. All kindergarten, 3rd<\/sup> grade and newly enrolled students will take part in routine hearing screenings the week of Sept 22nd<\/sup>. Please call or email Hilary Lahey to opt out your student or if you have any questions. hilary.lahey@bend.k12.or.us 541-355-6941  (Speech-Language Pathologist for WSV). Thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Photo Opt-Out<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the school year we enjoy taking pictures of our students doing awesome things! These are used for school-only slide shows and sometimes to post on our social media pages.  We never share names of students.  If you wish that your student\u2019s photo not be shared, please email Ms. Marcie or call the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roots Festival this Weekend; Join us Sunday, 9\/14!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our WVMS students are invited to sing with Mr. Ian at the Roots Festival on Sunday September 14th at 12:30 at the Bunk and Brew stage, located on Hill Street. Mark Ransom and Ian Carrick are our beloved music instructors and explicitly mention their work with our school in this <\/strong>Roots Festival<\/a> promo.  Check it out!  We hope you can join them on Sunday, the 14th!  Here\u2019s the schedule<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n
