We raised almost $2,000 at the celebration! What a way to kick it off!&nbsp; THANK YOU! Our goal is $10,000 and if every student raises $60, we\u2019ll reach our goal.&nbsp; However, any amount is appreciated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.bend.k12.or.us\/westside.village\/files\/2025\/10\/IMG_4593-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1849 size-full\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Whole School Geology Field Trip to Smith Rock, Oct 27<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will be taking our entire student body to Smith Rock for a geology study on Monday, October 27, 2025.&nbsp; We will leave around 9:00am and return by 3:30pm.&nbsp; Permission slips are due ASAP and it is available below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1QMf4Zz3sa31KRuVRDgX0SAaLMyAeTinf\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Smith Rock Permission Slip 10\/27\/25<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Harvest Party &amp; Fun Run, Oct 28<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is almost time for our harvest celebration which takes place during school (for the students) on Tuesday, October 28th. This is always a very fun time filled with crafts, sweet treats, academics related to harvest, and of course a Costume Fun Run on Tuesday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A few things to note about the harvest celebration:<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2013 Students are welcome to dress in costumes but they need to be appropriate for all. Absolutely NO scary, gory or cultural appropriation.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2013 Please do not send small pieces as they inevitably get lost throughout the business of the day and we will not be here on the 31st to help find them!<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2013 All students will participate in the fun run; please send your student with comfortable shoes.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>NO SCHOOL Days in October, November<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Oct 29-Oct 31:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NO SCHOOL for District Conference Days. Westside Village will be closed for all Westside students, K-8, these three days. We would like to give our thanks to those that have and continue to serve our country. If you need a scholarship, please fill out an application and get your paperwork to the front office asap.
