NO SCHOOL Oct 25-27, Nov 10<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is NO SCHOOL for all Westside students Wednesday, 10\/25 – Friday, 10\/27 for district conferences.  Westside has already completed conferences. There is also NO SCHOOL Friday, 11\/10 in observance of the Veterans’ Day Holiday. Westside Art & Adventure Camp is available for Non School Days.  Sign up here<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harvest Celebration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
It is almost time for our harvest celebration which takes place during school on Tuesday, October 31. This is always a very fun day filled with costumes, sweet treats and of course a fun run! Students will rotate through many fun and festive activities including face painting, crafting, coding, cooking and more.

A few things to note about the harvest celebration:<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 Students are welcome to dress in costumes and need to be appropriate for all. Please no scary, gory or cultural appropriation.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 Please do not send small pieces as they inevitably get lost throughout the business of the day.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 All students will participate in a costume fun run, please send your student with comfortable shoes.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

-We encourage upcycled and homemade costumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firebusters Winner Announced!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Congrats to this year’s Firebusters winner! Thanks to everyone that participated in Firebusters to learn about Fire and Life Safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Session 2 Clubs Sign-Up<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Here is the link to sign up for clubs!<\/a> We have a lot of new options this time, including improv, jewelry, Ki Aikido, and pokemon! Clubs will run from October 23rd-December 8th. There are options Monday-Friday! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

November Before & After Care Sign-Up<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s time to sign up for November before and after school care!<\/a> We are excited to announce a new choice! Starting in November we are offering a BEFORE SCHOOL ONLY option! By popular demand, we recognize that some families only need care in the morning. Before School care starts at 7:30am Monday-Friday. Also, there is no school November 10, 20-24. If you are interested in no school day camp, you can sign up through Bend Parks and Rec.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family Thanksgiving Lunch<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thursday, November 16th we will be serving \u201cThanksgiving Dinner\u201d at school at lunch time. Families are invited to join their students for lunch. Please bring your ID to sign in and arrive at 12:00 to allow time to sign in. Please RSVP to the office by November 6th so that we know how many to expect. Price is $4.75 for adults and $3.50 for students or siblings. Cash and check accepted (no cards), or you can charge the amount to your child\u2019s meal account. Please note that we are not able to extend the Free\/Reduced status to adults or siblings eating with those students<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter Bazaar <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reserve your professional table<\/a> for the Winter Bazaar Saturday, December 2, 2023! Adult professional space is $30 and student spaces are $15. This event is sponsored by Friends of Westside Village, our nonprofit organization.  This event is a creative and sustainable Gift Market for children, professional artists and craftspeople to sell and promote their products and connect with the community. All students have school opportunities to create crafts and baked goods and it is not required that they attend the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s Time to Order WVMS Logo Goods<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
