VRB Tickets are on Sale Now!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year we are selling VRB tickets online at www.friendsofwestside.com. Tickets are $45.  Your ticket includes dinner, dessert, two drinks, and babysitting at Westside for the kids!  Bingo cards, raffle tickets and additional drinks can be purchased at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This fundraiser teaches our Olders and Elders about work ethic by allowing them to participate during the event by serving, hosting, selling tickets, babysitting, and more. Older and Elder students will need to fill out a job application, create a resume, write a cover letter and interview for the job(s). Staff will support students in this process. \u201cFunds earned\u201d will go towards your student\u2019s annual coast trip cost. Applications and resumes are due April 5th and interviews will be on April 8th and 9th.  The coast trip is May 29-31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is VRB?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Our annual fundraiser, Village Rhythm and Bingo (VRB), is right around the corner! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

When: Thursday, April 25th, 5:30-8:30<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where: Unitarian Church, 61980 Skyline Ranch Rd, Bend<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who: All Westside families, plus your friends, family, neighbors!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Staff, students, volunteers, and Friends of Westside Village have been working hard to make this a memorable event with good food, a variety of beverages, dessert, raffle prizes and, of course, bingo! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While this is an event for the adults, free babysitting at the school is included with ticket purchase and is a great time for the kids!  Babysitting begins at 5:00 at Westside Village and ends right after event, around 8:45.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are $45 each. This is not a cash only event, however we strongly encourage people to bring cash if possible<\/strong>. Buy your ticket online at www.friendsofwestside.com<\/a> or in the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note, there are a handful of gifted tickets available at the office if the cost of the event is a barrier for your family. In addition, there are supporter tickets available if you would like to support the event and are unable to attend. Any amount is welcome for supporter donations and can be paid online or in the office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are really looking forward to bringing our community together for some fun. A big thank you to everyone that helps make this event possible, and to our amazing Westside Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non School Day Camp Apr 10-12<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is NO SCHOOL April 10-12 for district conferences (Westside has already had conferences, but school is still closed these days).\u00a0 Friends of Westside Village offers non school day camps at Westside Village.\u00a0 Visit Bend Parks and Rec<\/a> to sign up!\u00a0 Westside Village Camp is Activity #106510.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have Storage Space?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dear Families and Friends, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our 8th grade play is going to be performed at Westside this year.  We are in need of storage of 3 large leather couches from around April 15th until June 17.  We can deliver and pick up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get a Blue Bag and Save Your Cans!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Did you know there is a super easy way to support Friends of Westside Village and our school?  Ask for a blue bag in the office and we\u2019ll give you a bag to save your refundable cans and bottles in!  You can return the bag directly to any Bottle Drop Redemption Center or bring it to the school and we\u2019ll do it for you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SMILE! Spring Picture Day is April 30th<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Spring Picture Day is Tuesday, April 30th.  Picture forms will go home soon.  Only those that return their forms or order online BEFORE picture day will be photographed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
