Monday, November 29th

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a wonderful, relaxing break. Please take a moment to share a photo or two of something from your time off via this linked Padlet. (Hopefully it starts to show a preview below…for some reason my code isn’t working right yet…).

Made with Padlet

For our OSSM team… We will meet in my Webex room at 7:45 this Wednesday. Between now and then I’d like you to be thinking of goals…for both the team and individually. I’d suggest that you start by thinking about what you can measure, and based on that, what you could impact with students based on those measurements. We’ll talk about this more in our meeting. And don’t stress about it! This is something for us to connect on and center conversations and program work around, not draw as a hard line for any evaluative measures.

In other news… :-(. Megan has moved on to a teaching position at La Pine Middle. The La Pine High position has been posted, and we hope to interview and fill it by the end of the week. La Pine High currently has a sub covering their POLO Lab.

For our North Star Elementary-based team…

District SEL Committee Representation: If you are interested in this district committee, please let me know. I’d like for us to have several team members apply with the goal of representing our online students, families and staff through the process.

From Jennifer Hauth, BLP Director of SEL: Are you currently using social emotional learning (SEL) curriculum or strategies in your classroom or school building? Please take a moment to apply to be on our SEL steering committee by Friday, December 3rd. We are looking for certified, classified and administrators to serve on the team. Student and family input will be part of the process as well. We will meet monthly beginning in mid-December.

Technology Support–from Brenna Frost The instructional technology department has created this easy one-page document, complete with hyperlinks, outlining where to find specific support around technology questions.  Please file it somewhere for easy reference. (And thank you Dan Curfew for being our Tier 1 Support!)
