At Miller Elementary, Laura Home has implemented a great idea that is garnering lots of success. She is starting off her 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade classes with a Think-O-Gram. Remember those brain teasers that used to be so popular? Well, they’re gaining popularity once more at Miller Elementary. Students can’t wait to come to the library and try to figure out the next Think-O-Gram. Below are four examples. Can you guess what they are?
In addition to the Think-O-Gram, she is also introducing a short poem. She either reads it to them or gives them time to read it themselves before having volunteers take turns reading the lines. Here’s an example of one they’ve had fun with:
