During the last week of January, OBOB author, Alexandra Diaz came to Pacific Crest Middle School to talk to students. She did several sessions for different classes throughout the day where she talked about her book, The Only Road and the writing process. It was a great opportunity for students to learn the background of the story and to ask questions.
Later that same day, Alexandra returned to the school for an evening presentation where she spoke about the importance of reading diverse books and the immigrant experience. There was a nice mix of kid and adult questions during the Q&A.
