We have a great team of media managers and teacher librarians with so many fabulous ideas. Below are two that you might want to use in your library:

Alisa at North Star has shared this idea and many of you are having great success with it. Here’s how it works:
- Have a container to hold a selection of books based on a theme. Could be a holiday, a character trait, new books, animal books, winter books, etc.
- Check the books out to yourself
- On each book cover, place a sticky note with the title of the book written on it.
- Place the container of books in the staff lounge or where staff will see it.
- Staff then pick a book, write their name on the sticky and place the sticky in your mailbox or you could leave an envelop in the container for them to place the stickies in, instead.
- Place the staff directions in the container.
Here’s a video of her explaining how it works. Staff really appreciate this idea. They’re reading books that they might not have found themselves.

The students at Buckinham have loved this idea that Bridget came up with. She created a wall of student book reviews that encourages students to check out books that their peers have liked. Here’s how it works:
- Student’s write a book review of a book they have read.
- You take a picture of the student holding their book
- Put their picture next to their review on the wall for other students to see

Tip: Bridget had a group of students create a backdrop for all of the student pictures.
