Inclement Weather- Elementary schools in BLP are to keep students inside if temperature (including windchill) drops below 20. We have a bit of wiggle room for judgement, but if it is below 20 we will be inside in most cases. That means in the morning students will be going directly to classrooms when they arrive. Buses drop students at 7:20.
SIW- Thanks to Deborah, Margy, Alicia, Frank and the rest of the STEM team for a great STEM SIW on Wednesday. Thanks to the rest of you for all of your participation. Moving in the right direction!
March Character Trait- March’s Character Trait is FAIRNESS. We will once again be giving out certificates (this would be a gentle reminder on the heels of Challey’s reminder to turn in certificates for February if you haven’t), announcing names and displaying on the hall TV monitor. Remember that character trait resources can be found in the Bronco Bulletin.
PLC- Just a reminder that our expectation is that grade levels are having 2 PLC meetings/ month and recording discussion in our PLC doc.
ELPA Testing- Rebecca will be administering ELPA for our ELL students March 7-11. All ELL groups will be cancelled that week. Rebecca will be in contact with grades to set up a testing schedule.
Student Teacher- Katy Wyant is a student teacher who will be joining Kristine Hable’s class beginning March 7. Please welcome Katy when you see her.
EAP- Please don’t forget that our School District offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help staff navigate life stressors and/or manage life changing events. The EAP program is administered by UpriseHealth. The services they offer at no cost to Bend La-Pine School district staff members (minus substitute teachers) are outlined below. For the 21/22 school year, each covered member can receive up to six EAP visits per year which is an increase from the three allowed in the 20/21 school year.
