Students can now use the handy research icon on their iPad home screen to be directed to our media center websites, where engaging and education-focused research sites await.

High School Research Databases vary by school
- Safe and Reliable Sources: Utilizing carefully curated research databases, instead of generic search engines, is crucial for fostering responsible information-seeking in the vast sea of online resources. Additionally, consider incorporating tools like MagicSchool AI to help students find trustworthy resources and enhance their research skills. (Important note: although MagicSchool is included in the research databases, students will only be able to access it when a teacher launches a room for them. Check out our MagicSchool AI blog post for more on that.)
- Digital Citizenship and Media Literacy: Teach students to discern credible sources from unreliable ones. Wayfinder has some great activities for this, check out Reliable Information for grades 7-12 and Responsible Research for grades 3-5. Introducing them to Interland, a digital citizenship game, can make learning these important skills engaging and fun, empowering them to take responsibility for the information they consume.
- Quick and Easy Access: Students in grades K-8 will now find a new icon on their iPad home screen directing them to the research databases hosted on the media center site. Next time your students have a research project, encourage them tap on this:
