You can make a positive impact in your return rates, by communicating with your families often and in different modes (newsletters, synervoice, emails). From Kinsey: Adjustments to these two administrative regulations (AR’s) related to graduation were approved by the board at the January 9 board meeting. They are IKFB-AP (Graduation Exercises) and IKFB-AR (Wearing Items of Cultural Significance in Graduation Exercises). Principals, thank you for sharing your input on the AR’s and for communicating your school’s guidelines to support these AR’s with students and families.

End of semester 1: Feb 2nd is a teacher workday and a no student day. Teachers report in person to their schools for the purpose of finishing grading and posting final semester 1 grades in synergy by the end of the workday. It is imperative that teachers get grades in on time as this impacts how smoothly we transition to semester 2 in synergy.

From Dana our FAN Administrator: FAN staffing has been a challenge this year due to resignations and leaves. Thank you all for your patience as I have adjusted staffing and most recently, made some changes in staffing assignments. I am committed to staffing our Dual Immersion schools with Spanish speaking Advocates. This has caused some shifts in assignments, as the last round of hiring yielded some great candidates, but none of them speak Spanish. Here is the current list of Advocates and their assigned schools. Two new Advocates are in the process of being hired now. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
