HELP – We Need to Spend Some Money!
We have almost $4500 that needs to be spent ASAP in our District “Curriculum Fund”. In order for us NOT to lose this, we need to take delivery of what we order by June 30th at the latest… and some places are slow to deliver, so I have an ASK! We need to get our orders to Jennifer for her to place by Wednesday of this coming week – Yikes! THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!
These $’s are primarily geared for ordering the “textbooks” (including novels, e-books and other electronic textbooks, and even teacher resources books). HOWEVER, we have been given some permission to use some of these $’s ALSO for “supplies/equipment” that we need in order to “support our existing curricula”. We have this flexibility because as a magnet school and an EL School the folks at the District understand that in some classes we may be less “textbook driven” and need fewer resources.
I would like for each of our teachers to look ahead into next year and consider:
- What curriculum materials do our students need next year in support of the courses and content in our master schedule? And how many sets/subscriptions? Please use the District Order Sheet to see what other schools and departments are using. Obviously ordering electronic curric resources make MOST SENSE right now given that remote learning of some kind is a likelihood next year. Please do NOT use the District Sheet to place your order! Instead, use this Internal Order Sheet.
- What supplies/equipment do you need next year in support of your course content? While the priority for this $ is curriculum, we will also get another curriculum allotment for next year, so if there are $’s remaining after we have ordered the curriculum we need, we CERTAINLY can use this for supplies. The 2nd tab on the Internal Order Sheet can be used for “equipment/Supplies” you’d like to see us acquire!
