To Michelle – for an AMAZING TEACHING CAREER that is coming to a close soon!
As some of you know, Michelle was a founding member of RHS and helped serve on the design team before we opened. Michelle has had an amazing career in Bend LaPine schools and is in her last year before retirement.
Michelle has made the decision to start her retirement a bit early… her last day will be the Friday before Spring Break. Please join me in congratulating Michelle on her incredible body of work in our schools, from Marshall HS to Cascade MS to Realms HS and beyond!
We hope to schedule a retirement celebration soon, stay tuned!

WOW – amazing results team and some SOLID growth!
We have the highest rankings in the District in 4/6 categories and in the 2 that we are not highest in, we are VERY near the top and saw good growth! AND, we went UP in every category from last year including:
- 25 point increase in percentile ranking in Engagement
- 28 point increase in percentile ranking in Academic Challenge

CREW PARTIES & BUTLER DAY THIS WEEK
TUESDAY – Luke and Lauren’s Crew plus Eric and Lynda’s Crew. Details of departure and return time and coverage on Outlook calendar event!
WEDNESDAY – BUTLER DAY – TEACHERS, PLEASE BE READY TO….
- Celebrate the day with kids and butlers! Get into the spirit of it, promote the day 🙂
- Dismiss all of the butlers 10 minutes before the end of each class period so they can meet with our staff support person and prepare to escort their “client/guest/honoree”
- Recognize that Butler’s will be 3-5 minutes late for class

Caleb and Roger will need to pull the butlers tomorrow (Tuesday) to prepare them for their roles. We will likely do this during LAST PERIOD of the day. Stay tuned for deet’s.
FLY UP DAY
- Monday February 26th
- Departing buses should arrive around 9:30 and return around 12:15-12:30
- Arriving busses should be here around 9:40 – 9:50
- Program here at RHS and at other HS runs from 10:00 to 12:00.
Middle School Schedule Adjustments and Staffing Impacts:
- 1st period 8th grade Math and Science shortened
- Periods 2 & 3 for 8th grade cancelled
- Sending Eric and Dante with off site 8th graders (we were supposed to do this last year but didn’t know it). Eric and Dante will head to HS’s with the largest contingents.. stay tuned for details
- When 8th graders return, they will head to Crews… it may be a staggered return.
Last year, there was a very MIXED success with the Crew when the kids returned from Fly Up Day. There were VARYING experiences and a lot of energy and feelings! Heads up!!
Plan for that crew period accordingly!?!?!
High School Adjustments and Impacts:
- Greg and Rob will have subs in for their classes while they run stations.
- Please do not plan to use the cafeteria that morning!
HS Forecasting Update
Hard to believe, but it is that time again! We sent the forecasting forms home to 9th-11th grade students and families last week. Here is the info that we sent if you are curious.
9th, 10th, and 11th-grade Crew teachers, please plan to set aside no more than 20 minutes during the week of March 4th to help students input their cleaned up responses into Synergy. More instructions will come.
