Tardy Data: Ten students were tardy four or more times from January 18th through January 24th. There were 7 repeat offenders who will serve lunch detention and zero egregious tardies.
All students appearing on this report for the first time received a written notice with their specific tardy data; additionally, their family was notified of this warning.
Thank you to our amazing counselors! Feb. 4 – 8 is National Counselor Appreciation Week!
A training has just been added to Performance Matters that I hope you will pass along to your staff. It is titled Youth Mental Health 1st Aid and has been taught a few times in the past. In this course, participants will learn about the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, build an understanding of the importance of early intervention, and given ideas of how to help an adolescent in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge.
Dr. Ross Greene is giving a training on May 17. If you are interested in attending you should register soon as spots are going quickly! Here is the flyer with more info – including a link to register.
We are half way through the year, sometimes we may need a “pick-me-up”. Here is a Collection of Readers’ Peak Moments from the Heath brothers. The stories connected to education begin on page 9, but I thought I’d share the entire document with you as you may enjoy the emotional lift from reading some from other arenas (including business, personal, family, coaching, etc.). Enjoy!
