BITS AND BOBS
Here is some information regarding an essay contest sponsored by the American Legion. It is organized by grade levels and there is a cash prize for winners. Feel free to pass along as you see fit.
The Attendance Area Review Committee has completed its work and passed on their recommendation report to Shay for consideration and final decision. Shay will be making an announcement regarding elementary boundary changes for next year sometime on Jan. 29. Although these changes do not directly affect our students, it may be good to become familiar with the process and outcomes of this work as questions arise and as we prepare for a similar process to occur next fall for all MS and HS boundaries (for new HS opening in fall 2021).
REMINDERS
Please remember to take about 10 minutes to check in with your team during prep to recap what you saw during scrub-ins and brainstorm ideas for an AVID strategy that you can collaborate on and use in your classrooms. Brad has tons of AVID resources and ideas if you don’t have a team member who has anything available from trainings. Paul and I will be joining teams during common preps next week to hear how things are moving along.
