This training will take place at Pacific Crest Middle School August 13th and 14th. Click here for flyer info.Note: because of the intense nature of the training, staff are invited to attend only if they can be there all day on both dates.

If you have questions about registering, contact Stephanie Bent in the Teaching and Learning Office. If you have questions about the workshop, contact Chris Boyd or Lora Nordquist.

2019/2020 Certified Work Calendar: Please click here to see what the in service options and dates are for beginning next year.

Funding: Obviously, great news coming out of the Senate with the passage of HB 3427 and much-needed funding for K-12 education. This linked article does a nice job of providing some of the behind-the-scenes drama, as well as outline the areas where these additional dollars will be earmarked. As a reminder, these funds do not infuse any additional revenue into our district’s 2019-20 budget. (Also of note is that an increase in PERS rates – 4.75% – will equate to an additional 4.4 million per year payment increase for BLS beginning next fall.)

Advisory Survey:  Please click here for the directions to the survey that is to be given to the whole school on Wednesday May 29thClick here for the link to the QR code that supports students access the survey.

Disciplinary Notices:  A reminder to all staff that the disciplinary emails we send with details regarding students who have been suspended or otherwise asked to leave school is for you to know professionally.  The student names, details of events and extent of consequences must not be discussed with anyone outside of this building nor any other agency, private or public.  See me if you have questions.

Master Schedule:  Thank you for your patience as we work through the master schedule for next year.  We have several new folks in important roles at HDMS that do this scheduling work.  It is important that we train and support this process so that we get it right.  It is taking time in order to support and do this work accurately.  Thank you and our hope is that in years to come this process will be done earlier.
