WHAT IS ACES??????
ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES – ACES
Adverse childhood experiences, or ACEs, are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood (0-17 years). ACEs can include violence, abuse and growing up in a family with mental health or substance use problems. They can have lasting, negative effects on health, well-being, as well as life opportunities such as education and job potential.
