BLS Nurse Blog

In the aftermath of the traumatic event that occurred at Silver Rail last Thursday, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the impact this experience may have had on each of you, both personally and professionally. As school nurses, you play a vital role in supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our students (and sometimes staff). Your compassion, presence, and commitment to caring for others make a meaningful difference, especially when the path forward feels difficult. As your supervisor, I also want to remind you that your well-being matters, too. Please give yourselves grace as you process this event, recognize that everyone responds to trauma differently, and remember that you do not have to navigate these moments alone. Let’s continue to support one another as we move forward with compassion, understanding, and care. ~Tami
