The Math Curriculum Review Team conducted listening sessions with students, staff and parents at all of the elementary schools.  Here is a brochure with some of the highlights from the data.

Number Talk Professional Learning Opportunities! Whether you’ve used Number Talks for a long time or are wanting to try them for the first time, these mini-sessions are for you. Social Emotional and Mental Well-Being

The Life and Career Readiness steering committee has been working to review  curriculum that will support students, teachers and families K -12. Life and Career Readiness is defined as the integration of social and emotional learning, positive youth development and college and career readiness. The committee developed Core Beliefs and a Theory of Action to guide the review process. The committee has developed a draft infographic to visually represent the integration. The skills students gain during their K-12 years play a vital role in their success in life and career. The infographic details the course, and the climate in which Bend-La Pine students learn skills and gain experience to achieve outcomes that lead to graduation and future success. The themes by grade level will need to be reviewed and expanded upon after we select a curriculum.

The elementary team is in the final review of Harmony and Wayfinder. Elementary committee members will lead students and/or adults at their school sites through a lesson to gather feedback over the next few weeks.
