Summer Learning Resources

Summer learning resources to share with families can be found in this folder. The flyer options for summer learning can be printshopped if you choose. The flyers are available in English or Spanish, and in color or black and white. In addition, you will find grade-level summer math calendars in English and Spanish.

A reminder that students will have access to district accounts until early August and can access these from a personal device by following the directions below. In addition, families can work with your school administrators to check out an iPad for the summer. This usually involves a form agreeing to return the iPad and being responsible for damage.

Accessing Clever From Home
Students can easily access Clever from a personal device! Here’s how to get set up:

Step 1: Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
First, families will need to set up multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your student. This is a quick process, but it requires both a personal device (like a parent’s phone or computer) and the student’s iPad connected to district Wi-Fi at the same time.

  • You can find student MFA directions here.
  • The easiest way to set this up is often at your student’s school.

Step 2: Log In to Clever on a Personal Device
Once MFA is set up, students can log in to Clever on a personal device by:

  1. Navigating to https://clever.com/in/bls
  2. Logging in with their district ID ([email protected]) and their password

Directions on how to access Clever from a personal device can be found here. Please note that this link is for BLPS accounts only, so copies need to be printed for families.

Math Happenings

Starting June 2nd, your school, unless you are a donation school, will receive the bins to start recycling and disposing of Bridges and Number Corner materials. Please see this flyer for more information about the process. Reach out to your instructional coach or Kerry Morton if you have any questions.

Social Emotional & Mental Well-Being

Wayfinder Summative Assessment is available until June 12.

Summative Waypoints allow educators to measure student growth of Wayfinder’s six Core Skills across the school year. By administering the summative Waypoints assessments at the beginning and end of the school year, educators can understand areas of strength and growth for individual students and the class to make informed, data-driven decisions about instruction. Here is the info on Waypoints, including the new Waypoints Implementation guides to help teachers set up the reason we are assessing students as well as instructions.
