Math Projects!
Project 1: Assessment Audit & Rubric Refinement
The goal of this project is to ensure consistency and clarity across all assessment platforms. We need to align our PDF versions in the Google Drive, the Forefront platform, and the core Amplify website. Grades K-1 only!
- Compensation:
- PDF Updates: 0.5 hours per unit
- Forefront Revisions: 1 hour per unit
- Kick-off: A brief 60-minute launch meeting will be scheduled to clarify workflows and expectations. Date TBD
Project 2: Oregon Data Reasoning Alignment
Amplify Desmos Math currently lacks specific alignment with Oregon’s Data Reasoning standards. We are forming workgroups to bridge this gap.
- Objective: Unpack Oregon Data Reasoning standards and develop high-quality lessons that either replace or enhance our current Amplify lessons.
- Timeline: Two mandatory one-hour sessions dedicated to unpacking the standards, followed by collaborative workgroup time to create and vet the new lesson materials.
- Compensation: 1 hour per lesson with expectation of 5-8 lessons per grade level.
Deadline: All projects need to be completed by June 1st.
Email Kerry Morton if you are interested in one or both projects.

Literacy Happenings
NatureConnect Central Oregon and its network of partners have created a list of programs and resources that help to align with the Expeditionary Learning Curriculum. The programs and resources listed below help to supplement the content areas in the EL Education modules and engage students in place-based, hands-on science activities. The programs connect to the guiding questions and big ideas from the modules, while ensuring that students have opportunities to make connections to local ecosystems and landscapes. We’ve worked to ensure that most nature-based modules have at least one program or resource that is free or affordable (with scholarship options).
