Tuesday is the first of three, K-2 Literacy Team Leadership Meetings we’ll have this year. This team that includes Tracy Mauze, Ahna Jura, Jenn Hamilton, Kelly Sproba and Paige Allen and will be facilitated by Lindsley Gehrig. We’ll be meeting for the day in Rainbow Valley (B4) and plan to share an update at SIW.
After the Professional Communication, Student Privacy, and Immigration Enforcement training on Monday, we discussed a follow up set up questions that can be used for reflection. They can be located here.
From the Safety Department and Office of Policy & Advocacy: We are working on improvements to volunteer onboarding, training, communication, time tracking, and access to opportunities. One first step is a new Volunteer Handbook, designed to help volunteers feel informed, prepared, and included. This is an early draft–eventually, schools will be able to add school-specific information, and the handbook will be available online and in print. We hope you will provide feedback especially about the handbook’s structure, format, accessibility, and content.
