Horizontal Meeting- We will have a horizontal meeting on Monday at 4:00 p.m. at Elk Meadow. We will start with a short visit from local law enforcement and then move to the bulk of the meeting which will be around EBISS/RTI- Why? Benefits? Major components? See you Monday.

Mind Up- The Mind Up training will be September 22 from 7:30-11:00 in the board room.

Safety Documents- Links to the Safety Drill Guidelines and Culture of Safety Documents Julianne passed out at Leadership on Monday. Please let me know if you are having difficulty implementing any of these and we can figure out a way to help.

Foundations of RTI Training- Below is a link to sign up for the foundations of RTI training that will be offered here in Bend on September 29th.  This training would be great for all of our first or second year admin or student services as well as anyone else who wants a better understanding of RTI.

Assessment Calendar- Dave has sent out his annual assessment calendar. I have put together this version that includes only elementary if you find that easier.

Math Training Opportunity- TLC has allocated a portion of our contracted days with Teachers Development Group for building admin (to include coaches, VP’s, Stdnt Svcs and principals). The trainings will focus on analyzing mathematics teaching, using your leadership voice for mathematics, organizing your school for math learning and more. Below are the dates/ times. I encourage you to consider attending these trainings. You can sign up in PD place.

9/21- 8:00 – 11:00 am- This will take place at Silver Rail Elementary

1/12- 8:00 – 11:00 am

3/7- 8:00 – 11:00 am

October/November TBD

Septebmer 21 Math SIW will be a choice day for teachers. Please have teachers sign up on PD place to reserve a spot for their choice.

Math EBISS will be held September 22 from 4:00-5:45 in the board room. This will include an overview of the data platform (Forefront Math) for pathway 1 (# Corner assessments). Sign up in PD place if you plan to attend.

Foster Grandparents- We now have a district MOU with the foster grandparents program so you should NOT enter into an MOU (they had done it with individual schools in the past). You are welcome to move forward with a placement if approached by John Brenne AND you see a need at your school. Please contact me before accepting a placement so that I can clearly review what responsibilities the school will have. Please contact me if you have any questions.
