Many around our school district are using digital tools and strategies for meaningful formative assessment. Kahoot!, Quizizz, and Socrative are examples of such tools that fulfil this important role in our classrooms. Quizlet.live might do the same before a summative assessment. At the very least, it is a super fun way to review content and vocabulary as a whole class.
The Instructor set up involves loading vocabulary and definitions or questions that will be presented in the activity. That is it! Once the students sign in, they will be placed into random teams of four students. It is competitive but truly focused on students learning the content. If they go too fast and guess…..they start over! The information to be successful with the activity is scattered over all four devices on the team. Therefore, one team member can’t dominate, and everyone has a contribution to the learning. First team to 12 wins! Please give it a shot. Contact your instructional technology coach if you have any questions.
