Hopscotch has been an app our students have been enjoying since we first issued iPads in schools 5 years ago. It is fun, easy to use and most importantly, it gets students writing code! Lately, several elementary and middle school classrooms have asked for help using Hopscotch in the classroom. I have placed several useful resources and helpful hints for Hopscotch in a single Google Site at the bottom of this post. It should help both teachers and students get started with Hopscotch as well as provide additional lesson ideas and projects for later down the road. If you have a student who already uses Hopscotch and would like to share what they have done, please let me know. I would really like add some work to the “student showcase” section in the near future. Please reach out if you have any other useful resources we should add.
