Now that our high school students have keyboard cases, it’s a great time to build their typing skills. Bend-La Pine Schools provides access to Typing.com. Here’s how to get started.

What is typing.com?
It’s an online program that helps students build speed and accuracy on the keyboard. It includes step-by-step lessons, typing games, progress tracking for speed and accuracy, and achievement badges that keep practice fun and motivating.
Who can use typing.com?
Typing.com is available for all students in grades 3–12 in Bend-La Pine Schools.
How do students log in?
Students access typing.com through Clever, which is featured on the home screen of every student iPad. Once logged into Clever, they’ll see typing.com listed as one of their apps. See the Clever Resource Guide if you’re new to Clever.
Why is typing important for students?
Typing helps students complete assignments more quickly, take efficient notes, and prepare for college and career readiness where typing is an essential everyday tool. Even 10–15 minutes a few times per week can make a noticeable difference. Consistency is more important than long sessions.
Quick takeaway
Typing.com is already available – students just need to log in through Clever and start practicing. Building typing fluency now will pay off in class and in the future.
