We know that the end of the school can feel really busy, especially for our 8th grade families. Below, you will find the major events in the lives of your 8th grader at Realms. These are reminders of things that you should already have heard about. We hope it’s helpful to have it all in one place. There is a To-Do for Adventure Day if you haven’t already turned in a permission form or your rafting waiver. Read on for details and as always, call the office if you have any questions. Thank you!!
June 6th and 7th: Passages
Passages for our 8th graders will be taking place on Monday, June 6th and Tuesday, June 7th. When you arrive for your Passages, there will be a schedule near the office and someone to direct you to your classroom. Please arrive a few minutes early so that we can start on time. And remember, that you will be joining us for the entire hour to be an audience for multiple students. You should have received a confirmation from signup.com with the day/time you signed up for but if you cannot remember, feel free to call Kelly at 541-355-4901 or email [email protected].
June 10th: Adventure Day
To celebrate the end of their 8th grade experience, on June 10th, our whole 8th grade will venture to the Seventh Mountain Resort for a day of rafting, fun and reflection. Students will arrive to school as normal and we will depart for the river shortly after the start of the school day. Transportation, snacks, and a lunch will be provided for all students as well as all of the required safety equipment for rafting. We will be extending the day a little bit to fit in everything that we have planned, and 8th graders will need to be picked up from the Seventh Mountain Resort at 5:00PM.
***REMINDER!!! If you haven’t already, please return the attached permission slip and fill out the rafting waiver. The waiver is required by 7th Mountain Resort and your student will not be able to raft without it. It’s a simple online form, so follow the link HERE.
June 15th: Field Day at School…NO Early Release!!
On Wednesday, June 15th, we will be having Field Fun Day. Students will walk from Realms to Sawyer Park for fun and games from 12:00-3:00 and will finish the day at 3:55 at Realms.
June 15th: Graduation at 7pm at Brinson Campus
On Wednesday, June 15th, we will have a graduation ceremony at the Brinson Campus (20730 Brinson Blvd) at 7:00-8:15pm. Graduates will be able to bring up to 5 other people to the event.
June 16th: No School for 8th Graders Only
There will be no school for 8th graders ONLY on Thursday, June 16th. It will be early release at 2:25 for 6th and 7th graders.
