Dear new and returning Realms Middle and High School Families, Here is our 2nd Back To School Update (you can find the 1st one here). Our Newsletters will always be on this website so you can come back and catch up or remind yourself of details. We plan to send out this #onerealms update covering some of the information and news common to BOTH Realms Middle AND High, then at the bottom there will be links to updates with SPECIFIC news for the MS and the HS. PARENT ACTION ITEMS
TO DO – Update ParentVue: Please be sure to update ParentVue with your most recent contact information as well as any health/medical issues for your student. This is critical!
TO DO – New Free/Reduced Lunch Form: This year we are back to pre-pandemic lunch rules, meaning that meals are no long “free to everyone”. To receive free/reduced meals, complete this form asap
TO DO – Bussing: Does your student ride the bus? Check that you are registered to do so. If you rode last year, it should rollover, but wise to double check.
TO DO – Complete Permission Forms. In the MS and HS specific links below you will see start of year fieldwork permission forms needing to be submitted ASAP.

- Friday Sept 2nd: High School student schedules posted to StudentVue
- Wed, Sept 7th: First Day for 6th and 9th graders as well as students who are New to Realms in other grades (9:00am-3:20pm)
- Thurs, Sept 8th: First Day for 7th – 8th grade, as well as 10th-12th grade
- Thurs/Fri, Sept 8th/9th: “Disorientation Activities” at RHS (details & permission forms in HS link below)
- Mon Sept 12th: “Confluence Activities” at RMS (details & permission forms in MS link below)
- Thurs, Sept 22nd: Back to School Open House for all families at the Brinson Campus 5:30-7:00pm
iPAD UPDATES FOR 2022-23
Students will need their FULLY CHARGED iPads every day at school, starting on Day 1!
We STRONGLY recommend and encourage our families to purchase iPad insurance. $30 now can save you hundreds of dollars later if iPads get broken or damaged.

Students who are new to the District or for some other reason do not have an iPad will receive a new iPad at school during the first few days.

Friends of Realms
Friends of Realms is a non-profit foundation/board that directs the annual fundraising efforts geared towards providing the funding Realms needs to pursue the exciting and powerful fieldwork and intensive programs at our school. FoR is always on the lookout for potential new board members and/or interested fundraising helpers!

Outdoor Improvement Workgroup
Lets Design, Plan, Plant!
Would you like to see trees, shade structures, a garden and other improvements on our new campus? Well US TOO!! We love the cool “warehouse feel” inside our Brinson campus and at the same time there is so much potential for a committed group of parents and staff to help us improve the outdoor spaces on campus for our students. Roger is forming a team of parents who’d like to design and tackle one or two projects this Fall. If you have some skills and/or energy and time, PLEASE JOIN US to envision and plan some campus beautification projects.
