From Roger…
Welcome to Realms,
where rigorous, relevant and radical come together!
Dear New Realms Families!
I am so excited to welcome your student and your family to Realms Middle/High School for the 2024-25 school year. Whether you are an incoming 6th grader or an incoming 9th grader, we are looking forward to an awesome educational adventure ahead.
At Realms, we are committed to bringing rigorous academic standards to life in our classrooms. We do this by striving to create relevant and real world projects and curriculum for our students at every grade level so that students can connect and apply their classroom experiences to something that they come to care about… something that impacts their lives and our community! Also, we pride ourselves on pushing the boundaries of what public education is all about…. that is the radical part! Our commitment to fieldwork outside of the classroom, to tackling issues of social justice through a curriculum that explores multiple perspectives on real world issues, and to engaging our whole community in acts of environmental stewardship and service to others is what we call radical! And we are proud of this commitment!
We are glad you are a part of the Realms Crew. It is not too early to get involved… in fact, there are some opportunities to jump in right now in this newsletter below!
There are many adventures, challenges and successes ahead of us. I look forward to them all.
Go Redtails!
Roger White, Principal
Our staff is excited to welcome you to Realms!

FORECASTING
At Realms, our forecasting process is about more than just choosing which classes you want to take… it is also about getting to know a little about our new students! We encourage you to sit down to complete forecasting together, and we request that you complete this by April 19th.
Here are the forecasting forms for incoming 6th or 9th graders:
Incoming 6th Grade Forecasting Form (Class of 2031)
Incoming 9th Grade Forecasting Form (Class of 2028)
FRIENDS OF REALMS… GET INVOLVED!
We have a non-profit board/foundation called Friends of Realms that works hard to raise over $60,000 per year. They donate this money every year back to Realms MS and HS in support of our fieldwork and Intensives programs.
FoR is looking for new board members to fill key positions. We are looking for members with many different skill sets. If you want to learn more about them or get involved, you can check them out and reach them through their website: friendsofrealms.org and then send us an email at [email protected] and we will have a board member reach out to you!
NEWSLETTERS & SOCIAL MEDIA!!
Our Newsletter Blog Site is different from our Bend LaPine web page. The Newsletter site is where you can find up-to-date info about what is happening at school. Each time we post a new newsletter, we email out the link to families, but it might be handy to bookmark this site. We also have a listing of our staff on the Newsletter site.
We have much more information coming your way soon!
