9th Grade Orientation: February 1st & 2nd

9th Grade Orientation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. If your student usually rides a bus to LPHS, transportation is provided. You can look at your child’s pick-up time on the transportation website HERE. This will also be their morning pick-up time during Hybrid Instruction. If you are bringing your student to school, or they are walking, please know that our school doors will not open until 9:00 a.m. We don’t want students to show up early and wait in the cold. Students will be dismissed from LPHS at 12:00 p.m. on the Orientation days.

9th Graders should plan to attend orientation on the following assigned days:

Monday (Feb 1): 9th grade (Last name A-K)

Tuesday (Feb 2): 9th grade (Last name L-Z)

What to bring for Orientation?

  • Charged iPad (this is, and remains, a critical learning tool and is extremely important to bring every day!)
  • Mask
  • Backpack
  • Water bottle (with your name on it)
  • Coat / Jacket
  • Lunch / Snacks **Hot lunch is available for all students free of charge. No need to register.

Where do I drop my student off for Orientation?

Doors will be locked to students until 9:00 am

Students will enter in one of two entry doors . . .

Entry #1: Student Parking Entrance by the Gym

Entry #2: Back doors by the library, in the breezeway between D Hall and C Hall. This is where buses will drop off.

Students will be greeted by staff, visually checked, mask checked, and given hand sanitizer.As you arrive to school, you will move directly to a grab-and-go breakfast.

**Please do not drop students off at the front entrance**

10th, 11th & 12th Grade Orientation: February 3rd

10th, 11th and 12th Grade Orientation will virtual on February 3rd. Students will be required to attend their Advisory WebEx at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb 3). During this Orientation time students will go over information and details about our new Hybrid schedule, school safety protocol, understanding their schedule/classes, connecting with their peers, how/where to ask for help, and much more! Will Your Student Ride the Bus to Hybrid Learning?

If so, you need to sign them up!

If your student will be riding the bus to school for Hybrid learning, you will need to sign them up! There are two ways a parent can sign up their student:

  1. ParentVUE
  2. On this webpage: https://www.bend.k12.or.us/bus or click HERE

Please don’t delay! Your student will not have transportation if not signed up.

** You must live in the transportation zone

Bus Information

As schools are reopening for in-person instruction, we want to take a moment to share details about what to expect when there is a positive COVID-19 case in a school setting. We know many of you may have questions about the process and we want to help explain so that the steps are clear. Please see this attached LETTER.

February 1st: 9th Grade Orientation – Cohort A (last name A – K), 9AM – 12

February 2nd: 9th Grade Orientation – Cohort B (last name L – Z), 9AM – 12

February 3rd: 10th – 12th Grade Orientation (virtual) – This will be done through student’s Advisory teacher WebEx. 10AM – 11AM

February 5th: No School / Teacher Work Day / Grading / End of Semester

February 8th: First Day of Semester 2 — Student return in person! Cohort A (A – K)

February 9th: First Day of Semester 2 — Students return in person! Cohort B (L – Z)

February 15th: No School / Presidents’ Day
